A SUMMER STORY
IN HYDRA
An island with no cars and its own time — slow mornings, long dinners, and white gold in the Aegean light.

Slow Mornings

Perched above the crashing waves of the Aegean, a tiny stone slaughterhouse becomes the setting for Apollo Wind Spinner.
Suspended between sea, sun and stone, the work creates a “metaphysical dialogue between the contemporary and ancient”, where Hydra’s timeless landscape meets a distinctly modern form.
In many ways, it perfectly captures the spirit of SOLERA, rooted in generations of jewelry craftsmanship, yet always looking toward a new era of design.

No Cars, No GPS
There are no cars on Hydra, no GPS to follow. Only donkeys, water taxis and your own two feet. You stop navigating and start wandering — the island decides where you go, and it is always right.

Art in the Light
Henry Miller and Charmian Clift wrote their summers here; painters still chase the same white light up the stone steps. Hydra has always belonged to artists — every wall a gallery, every hour a composition.

Between Stone and Sea
Days end the way they should — late, at a table by the water. Lobster and market colour, gold on sun-warm skin, the last light held a little longer. Nobody checks the time, because there is nowhere else to be.

Until Next Summer
We left the way we came — by water, watching the port shrink behind us, already planning the return. Hydra keeps its own time, and now, so do we.
